Job Description

At Startise, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced React.JS Developer (WordPress) to join our team to help with our WordPress products.

🧠 Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on WordPress plugin development (PHP, hooks, actions, WP APIs).
• 2+ years of React.js development experience.
• Strong command over OOP, namespaces, and design patterns.
• Experience building custom Gutenberg blocks (bonus).
• Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), React hooks, and state management (Redux/Zustand/Recoil).
• Understanding of REST APIs, AJAX, and browser debugging tools.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and optimization mindset.
• Customer-first mindset with the ability to balance speed vs quality.
• Experience using AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Augment Code for productivity.

🌱 Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript, Node.js, or Express.js.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git workflows, and automated testing.
• Prior experience in SaaS or large-scale plugin development.
• Contributions to open-source or WordPress.org plugins.

⚡ What You’ll Do 

• Develop and maintain advanced WordPress plugins using React.js and PHP.
• Build and optimize React-based admin dashboards and Gutenberg components.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to ship new features.
• Improve plugin performance, scalability, and UX.
• Refactor legacy code to modular and reusable components.
• Integrate APIs (REST/AJAX) and enhance existing ones for better efficiency.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation.
• Stay updated with emerging tech (React Server Components, WP REST updates, AI-assisted workflows).
